Puerto Vallarta, Mexico 2010

So, yeah, lots of vacations in the past few months. This while my project at work was in the final stages and pressure was mounting. Luckily it all worked out and we had good times, mostly stress free. We stayed at my grandpa's condo in Nuevo Vallarta. Lydia's favorite thing about that place is the great food (especially the famous corn-flavored gelato). We also had a lot of fun body-boarding in the ocean together. Anna loves the big pool and looking at the ocean from the balcony. I took my first crack at kiteboarding. It went alright, but I only got 1 lesson (which taught me how to fly the kite) since we only had 1 good wind day. I'll do it again though.

The worst part of the trip was the airport experience. We had 7 people and 2 babies. There was a big storm in Atlanta that weekend, which is a major Delta hub. We got to the airport about 1.5 hours early, but it was no good. They make you stand in the line if you have babies (as opposed to using the kiosks or checking in online) and the aiport lines were crazy long with people trying to rebook their flights to the east coast. Delta, being the genius organizers they are, pretty much let everyone else standing in line miss their flights, including us. We ended up having to rebook a flight for the next day, which took us pulling up the flight info on the internet on our laptops for the incompetent lady behind the desk (she was politely informing us there were no flights the next day). Grrrr! Oh well, in the end we made it and had a great trip.
